Butter dollops, made in any flavor you need.

A dollop is a pre-portioned scoop of flavored butter that ships frozen and goes straight onto a hot plate. We make them from 0.5 to 1 oz in any flavor you bring us, individually wrapped with your print if you want it.

What is a butter dollop

Think of a soft-serve swirl, but butter. Each one is portioned to the same weight, holds its shape cold, and softens on contact with a hot plate. No cutting, no scaling, no cook standing at a bench with a scoop.

Dollops are one of five formats we produce. Medallions are flat and coin-shaped. Chef rolls slice into rounds. PC cups peel open at the table. Dollops are the one that reads as handmade on the plate.

Any flavor, in dollop form.

Every flavor we develop can come out as a dollop — garlic herb, honey cinnamon, bacon jam, lemon dill, whatever the menu calls for. Our R&D team formulates it, we run it, and it ships portioned to your spec.

What a dollop actually saves you

Labor comes off the line

Nobody scoops, weighs, or shapes butter during service. One wholesale customer saved around $200K a year moving compound butter production to us.

Portion cost stops moving

Buying bulk butter dollops saves time and money. You won’t have to pre-mix or stock items and will instead realize efficiencies in costs and portion control.

It looks the same on every plate

The presentation doesn’t depend on who’s working that shift.

Frequently Asked Questions

Think of it as a pre-portioned morsel of butter, frozen and ready to go straight onto the plate or into a production line. The kitchen skips the mixing and the scaling and gets the same beautiful dollop every single time. They’re a back-of-house staple for restaurant chains, hotels, college and university dining, and senior living kitchens, and they do just as much for CPG brands, food manufacturers, meal kit companies, and retail or private-label lines that want a finished, flavored butter without building one in-house.

Plenty. The lineup runs from garlic herb and garlic parmesan to steak house, lemon dill, pesto basil, maple cinnamon, and a good dozen more, and every flavor can come as a dollop, medallion, or roll. The list is just a jumping-off point, though. Our R&D team can build a craveable custom flavor from scratch for your menu or product, and that custom work carries across our sauces, spreads, and the rest of the range too.

The standard dollop is half an ounce, which suits most plates and most lines. Need it daintier or more generous? We run anywhere from 0.3 to 1.1 ounces. Because every piece is pre-portioned, the size you spec is the size you get, cover after cover, which keeps your presentation and your portions consistent.

However your operation runs best. We can wrap each dollop individually or pack them together in a box, depending on whether you’re plating tableside or feeding a production line. Everything ships and stores frozen, so it stays fresh right up to the moment it hits the heat.

A few things. They start with butter and a flavor our R&D team builds by hand, and they’re made in a facility that holds a BRC-AA rating, which is about as rigorous as food safety standards get. For your kitchen that adds up to flavor that tastes the same on a Tuesday as it does on a Saturday, a plate that looks the part, and a whole lot less prep on the clock. That’s the value our customers keep coming back for.

There is. We make our dollops to order, so they’re a natural fit for chains, multi-unit operators, manufacturers, and brands ordering at volume. Stocked flavors like garlic herb are available through your distributor, and anything custom starts with a quick conversation with our team.
